Meteorite is a well crafted low rez Metroid Prime inspired first person Sci-Fi metroidvania that sees you exploring a strange facility on a distant planet.
Created for the Low Rez Jam (with a required max resolution of 64×64 pixels), in Meteorite you find yourself on a far away planet in a secure facility full of locked doors and guard turrets. You need to explore the facility, unlocking new skills and weapons that will allow you access to the harder to reach areas and eventually have a big showdown against a giant eyeball boss.
Taking around 15 minutes to play though, Meteorite is a fun and fast paced little adventure that is perfect for a bite-sized dose of Metroid Prime style metroidvania fun. The low rez visuals can depict a surprising amount of detail and the steady stream of new weapons and abilities mean there’s always something new to use and new areas to explore. A fast and fun metroidvania adventure well worth embarking on.
