Midnight Scenes: The Highway is a beautifully crafted and very creepy Twilight Zone inspired point and click adventure in which you come across some disturbing scenes after an obstacle blocks the road on your way home.
Taking around 10 minutes to complete, Midnight Scenes: The Highway offers a bite sized supernatural adventure that feels very much like an interactive episode of the Twilight Zone. In the game you play Claire Barnes, a 29 year old woman who discovers a fallen electricity mast that blocks the road she’s travelling along. Venturing out of her car to find assistance, she soon discovers what horrors lurk in the darkness of a deserted road.
The Puzzles in Midnight Scenes: The Highway can be a little easy, but it’s the tense atmosphere, unexpected twists, excellent pixel artwork and the clever storytelling that are the main draw. Aside from the Twilight Zone-esque intro and outro the entire narrative is relayed wordlessly, leaving you to put together the pieces and figure out what’s really been going on in this town. A fantastic otherworldly point and click episode that we highly recommend tuning in for.
