Mindustry blends tower defense strategy with Factorio-esque production line building as you create elaborate supply chains to gather resources and supply ammo to your turrets.
In Mindustry your goal (much like in a traditional tower defense game) is to build towers capable of defending your base against the increasingly challenging waves of enemy attacks. However, you also need to keep those turrets supplied with the correct ammo, which you do by rigging up separate mining and conveyor belt systems. Things start off fairly simply, but as you progress you unlock a wide variety of different structures, allowing you to build massive sprawling factories designed to keep the ammo flowing and your base safe.
Mindustry is easy to pick up and play, but has plenty of depth and a vast selection of unlockable technologies. It’s very addictive and there’s something particularly satisfying about designing a massive autonomous factory that eviscerates any enemy foolish enough to step foot in the vicinity. Highly recommended.
