Created by the talented Angela He (YOU LEFT ME., I Woke Up Next To You Again), missed messages. sees you taking on the role of a young woman who is busy working on her laptop when she suddenly receives a message out of the blue from a stranger who’s on the same AirDrop network. You can chat and send messages to this stranger, perhaps even spark up a romance, but you may also miss something far more important going on right in front of you.
Although it goes to some pretty dark places missed messages. is a beautiful and tender little narrative experience (and quite uplifting if you get the right ending). It highlights the fact that people suffering from depression often hide the symptoms from others and it’s easy to miss the tell-tale signs (or messages) until it’s too late. Reaching out to someone now and again and showing them you really care can make the world of difference. Highly recommended.
