Mr. Hopp’s Playhouse HD is a full HD(ish) remake of the original Mr. Hopp’s Playhouse game, which sees a young girl being terrorized by a freaky toy rabbit.
In Mr. Hopp’s Playhouse HD you are Tuby, a young girl who was gifted a creepy stuffed rabbit toy (called Mr. Hopp) by her grandmother. However, when Ruby wakes up one night she finds that Mr. Hopp is missing, so are her parents and there are bloody claw marks in their bedroom. Ruby must now escape while being terrorized by the deadly Mr. Hopp.
The gameplay in Mr. Hopp’s Playhouse HD is pretty similar to the Lasagna Boy inspired original, with you sneaking between rooms while Mr. Hopp lurks in the background. The jump height/distance could really do with tweaking a little as it’s very hard to clear the toys, but other than that it’s a lot of fun and the upgraded visuals and voicework add a lot to the experience. A fine HD makeover for the murderous bunny!
