Mr. Tulip Head’s Puzzle Garden Extravaganza is a challenging, chilled-out and addictive little browser based landscaping puzzler that sees you attempting to rearrange the flowers, water, walkways and statues to make the most charming gardens possible.
In Mr. Tulip Head’s Puzzle Garden Extravaganza you are given a selection of pathway, tulip, water and statue tiles and must arrange them so that the pathways link and to maximise the charm of the garden. The game features a very pleasant tutorial that walks you through the intricacies but basically placing water next to tulip tiles makes tulips grow (up to three times) and placing pathways next to flowering tulips increases the charm of your garden. Statues don’t really do much other than get in the way, but you have to place them so that they’re not next to each other.
There may only be your different types of placeable tiles, but getting the optimal charm values for each plot can be pretty tricky. It’s worth remembering that it’s the pathway tiles that often most important as it’s them that generate the charm. The level design can be pretty fiendish, but there’s no rush – you can take your time and experiment with different setups with no fear of penalties.
Mr. Tulip Head’s Puzzle Garden Extravaganza really impresses with its stylish visuals, clever puzzle design and wonderfully chilled out landscaping puzzle gameplay. It manages to offer up some extremely challenging levels without ever frustrating the player thanks to its pleasant atmosphere and lack of time penalties. A super little puzzler that lets you take your time and build your own little perfect gardens.
