Night in Riverager is a short and surreal papercraft-styled horror game set in the world of My Beautiful Paper Smile, which follows a hunter as he sets out to find medicine for his sick mother.
In Night in Riverager you take on the role of a hunter who sets out on a journey into the King’s domain, in search of his uncle and medicine for his mother. However, along the way you catch glimpses of a mysterious stranger and when you are forced to stay overnight in an abandoned house things really start to get weird.
Night in Riverager is a standalone adventure but it will make a lot more sense if you’ve played My Beautiful Paper Smile as the lore is quite important. Even if you haven’t played My Beautiful Paper Smile it’s a great little experience though, with fantastic hand drawn visuals, tons of atmosphere and surreal sights. A short and strange adventure in an extraordinary monochrome world.
