Pip! is a charming little PICO-8 powered platforming adventure where you help a tiny little bird gather enough feathers to allow it to fly back up to its warm and cozy nest.
Pip is a cute little bird that has fallen out of its next in a thunderstorm and must now try and make its way back. The problem is that Pip’s nest is high up in the air and poop little Pip’s feathers aren’t strong enough to flap up there. You must now search the area you’ve landed on and try to find ten feathers, with each feather allowing you to flap your wings in the air one extra time (effectively giving you an extra air-jump).
It takes around ten minutes to play through Pip! and it’s a delightful little experience from start to finish. It’s essentially a mini-metroidvania, with each new feather that you collect allowing you to fly higher and reach new places. The pixel art visuals are packed full of charm and it’s got a catchy chiptune soundtrack to accompany your feather finding fun. A great little bite-sized birdy platformer well worth checking out.
