Pixel Crisis is a fun 2D pixel art homage to Time Crisis, which sees you blasting your way through the headquarters of an evil mastermind who is holding the world hostage with an intercontinental nuclear missile.
If you’ve ever played a Time Crisis game then you’ll immediately feel right at home with Pixel Crisis. You aim and shoot with the mouse (or Sinden Lightgun if you’re lucky enough to have one) and you can duck in and out of cover (and reload) by pressing the spacebar.
Pixel Crisis features three large levels, with diverse locations, lots of enemy henchmen to blast and big boss battles. When playing with a mouse, it can feel a little unfair at times (even on easy difficulty), but it’s still a lot of fun and you can tell it would be a blast with a lightgun. It really nails the vibe of Namco’s arcade lightgun classics, especially in regards to the gameplay and the excellent audio design. A fun little homage to an arcade classic well worth pullign the trigger on.
