Power Play is a simple, stylish and addictive Rugby-themed game in which you attempt to charge up the field as you watch your energy levels and avoid rugbybots to save humanity!
In Power Play you take control of the last rugbyman in a world overridden by robots. To save humanity you’ll need to charge through 40+ levels, avoiding obstacles and stampeding robots as you go. While running you also have to keep an eye on your energy levels – the lower your energy, the slower you’ll run. If you get hit by a rugbybot while in the normal energy level then you’ll lose, but if you collect the power-ups that are scattered across the levels you can increase your energy and enter an overcharged state – allowing you to kill the robots by bashing into them.
It’s a fun little game that gets pretty tricky later on as more and more rugbybots are added to the field. The low poly visuals are excellent and the soundtrack (created by the developers own band) is delightful. A charming, chilled out robo-rugby romp well worth checking out.
