Private Kitchen is a surreal retro styled first person psychological horror game where you search for the answer to three questions – Who are you? Why are you here? And where is HERE?
Created by Andrea Pignataro (creator of Black Tree Project, Sleepthrough and The Hair in the Wall), Private Kitchen is a very strange first person psychological horror game which takes you on a nightmarish journey as you search for answers. It features a nice mixture of puzzles and surreal sights as you make your way through the various episodes set in its creepy retro-styled dream world.
Taking around an hour to play through, Private Kitchen is not perfect – it is a little long winded and some optimization issues can lead to some horrendous slowdown. It is a fascinating experience though, with clever puzzle design and great environmental storytelling. It’s packed full of striking, surreal imagery that more often than not are there for a reason and reinforce the game’s recurring themes. A Private Kitchen well worth entering.
