QuentBlast is a wonderfully weird PS1 styled bowling RPG adventure where you use your bowling skills to battle enemies and save your kidnapped idol.
In QuentBlast you are a new employee at a bowling establishment that’s owned by your hero (who you get to name). It turns out that when you meet your hero he’s a bit of a douche, but you still worship him and are alarmed when some gangsters kidnap him. You now set out on a bizarre RPG adventure where you use your bowling skills to save him.
Fittingly, the turn-based combat in QuentBlast uses bowling game mechanics. The pins are lined up along alleys and you attempt to knock down as many as possible with your ball. The more you knock over the more damage you do, and there are also special Groove abilities you can unleash too.
It’s a delightful little bowling adventure with novel bowling-based combat, quirky characters, a great retro visual style and lots of great gags. You really will have a blast playing QuentBlast.
