Blending visual novel and point-and-click elements in an intimate hand drawn 2D world, Regarding Sasha is a beautifully crafted and heartfelt psychological horror adventure that follows the story of a young mother called Sasha. Her young son is the light of her life and she’ll protect him at all costs, and she’s hesitant to allow anyone into her life who may disturb their wellbeing – such as the father who appears to have abandoned them.
Taking around 30 minutes to play through, it’s an excellent game that expertly weaves psychological tension with maternal themes, creating an immersive experience that questions the nature of memory and reality. The audio and visual design are superb and do a great job of instilling a sense of panic whenever your little son isn’t around. Meanwhile, the story hits hard, especially as all the characters are just trying to do what’s best. Highly recommended.
