Resurgent is a tense, stylish and atmospheric narrative driven adventure that sees you scavenging food, sneaking past zombies and searching for safety in a post-apocalyptic city.
In Resurgent you take control of a lone survivor who’s trying to survive and reach Sanctum – the only safe haven in a zombie infested post apocalyptic city. Your destination is just a few blocks away, but it’s not going to be easy to get there – you’ll have to stay off the streets and sneak past the zombies to stand a chance of surviving.
Your health diminishes every time you sleep or reach a new area, so you have to keep an eye out for food and soda cans to replenish your health. Also, you’ll come across letters and newspapers that fill in the narrative of exactly what happened to cause the apocalypse and how the human race is trying to survive it.
Taking around 30 minutes to play through, Resurgent really impresses with it’s excellent pixel art visuals, tense atmosphere and clever narrative. You can see the ending coming from a mile off, but that doesn’t make it any less impactful and it’s a riveting experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.
