Rooted in Darkness is an eerie little retro styled horror game where you explore a house that’s completely covered in roots.
Created for the Global Game Jam 2023, Rooted in Darkness is a short, intense and stylish little horror escape room game. The gameplay is fairly simple – you just explore the house, grab things with your big grabby hand and figure out where to use them.
It’s very short and pretty easy, but it’s got one hell of a visual style and an unsettling atmosphere. It would be nice to see it expanded into something larger as it shows a lot of promise.
