Rot is a short P.T. inspired low-rez first person horror game that explores love, obsession and rejection as you struggle to let go of the home you lived in with your lover.
Taking around 10 minutes to play through, Rot is a short, surreal and unsettling psychological horror experience that takes place within your home. It starts off quite pleasantly, with you exploring a normal, furnished home and reading the lovingly written letters sent between you and your partner. However, soon there’s a break-up, things start to get weird and your once idyllic home goes through some significant changes…
It’s an interesting game that does a great job of presenting the emotional anguish your character is going through as they deal with their rejection and self-hatred. The home that was once so comforting now just contains memories that cause you nothing but pain, but your obsession means you struggle to let go. Will you let it consume you?
