Saint Kotar: The Yellow Mask is a dark psychological point and click horror adventure that follows the macabre events that precede a series of murders that are linked to witchcraft and devil worship.
Saint Kotar: The Yellow Mask is a standalone prequel to the upcoming Saint Kotar game and follows two different characters, each with their own inner demons, as they find themselves being drawn into a story of witchcraft and devil worship in a remote Croatian town. The game sees you switching between control of two characters (a devout Catholic and his morphine addict brother-in-law) and draws inspiration from point and click classics like Broken Sword and Gabriel Knight, as well as True Detective and The VVitch.
Some of the pacing is a little off but on the whole Saint Kotar: The Yellow Mask is a well crafted point and click horror adventure that does a great job of fleshing out its characters and delving into the darker side of humanity. The voicework is well done and the artwork is fantastic – a descent into madness has never looked so good!
