Scarecrows is a stylish little first person horror game that sees you attempting to locate five wells in a field filled with bear traps and evil scarecrows that only move when you’re not looking at them.
In Scarecrows you find yourself alone in a large crop field surrounded by scarecrows. Your aim is to find the five wells that are scattered around the field, which is easier said than done as there are lots of bear traps hidden below the crop and the scarecrows are actively trying to kill you. As long as you can keep an eye on the scarecrows then you’re safe as they follow the Doctor Who Weeping Angel rules of movement – they only move and attack when you can’t see them. You can reach a few of the wells by going around the outside of the field and keeping your back to the fence, but to get the last ones you’ll have to venture inwards…
It’s a simple game that’s not particularly original, but it’s very well executed, with a great visual style and a nice sense of atmosphere. Well worth checking out for some freaky scarecrow dodging fun.
