Screwball Scramble is a fan made browser-based remake of the classic 80’s toy of same name, where you attempt to guide a metal ball through an obstacle course as fast as possible.
For anyone unfamiliar with the original Screwball Scramble, it’s a classic 80’s kid’s toy created by Tomy. You have seven dials, knobs, sliders and buttons, all of which operate the various obstacles that you need to guide the ball through. The goal is to get the ball to the goal as fast as possible, but if the ball falls off then you need to start all over again.
Aside from the second-last obstacle, which is a little too slippery, it’s a remarkably faithful recreation of the classic game. The physics feel great and all of the little details have been recreated perfectly (it even sits atop a recreation of the original box). A fantastical little blast from the past well worth checking out!
