SEASHELLS is a tense and unsettling retro PS1 styled first person horror adventure where you attempt to survive six nights at a remote lighthouse.
Created by LEAKYFINGERS (creator of Concrete Crown), SEASHELLS sees you spending six nights as a mysterious lighthouse situated on a remote island. It’s hardly the most ideal place to spend a vacation, but those who stay there return as refreshed, more confident and generally all-round better versions of their former selves. To get the same treatment all you have to do for each of the six days is light the main light each day and have a little sleep – doesn’t sound too hard does it?
Taking around 30 minutes to play through, SEASHELLS really impresses with its excellent retro visual style, chilling audio design, unsettling imagery and pitch black narrative. It’s not a game that gets you with jump scares, it’s a game where the dread and horror slowly seeps into you as you play and by the time you figure out the dark secret of the lighthouse then it’s already too late. Highly recommended.
