Security Booth is a tense little PS1 styled horror game where you work the nightshift in a security booth at a research facility and have to make sure you only let the right cars in.
Set in 1996, Security booth sees you taking on the role of a security guard who works at a high security research facility called Nova Nexus. Your job is to look out for cars trying to enter the facility, chat to the drivers, check that the plates match with those in your register and let them through. Anyone with plates that don’t match the register must be turned away or there may be dire consequences.
Taking around 10 minutes to play through, it’s a great little horror game with a fun concept and a tense atmosphere. Checking the cars and opening the gates is quite engaging and it has a clever way of telling its narrative. Ending one is a little too abrupt and random to have much impact, but the second ending is much better. See what happens if you let the wrong one in!
