Senile Showdown: Arthfightus is a thoroughly ridiculous N64 styled first person beat ‘em up where you smash furniture, beat up caretakers and punch old men as you attempt to escape from a nursing home.
Created by the talented Scythe Dev Team (creators of the Northbury Grove games) in just one week, Senile Showdown: Arthfightus is a very silly retro styled game that sees you fighting your way through a nursing home. There are a few naked old men to deal with, but the majority of your time is spent beating up the nursing home staff – all of whom have the exact same face, but different colored clothing to signify how tough they are.
There are no weapons in Senile Showdown: Arthfightus, but you can do some serious damage with your punches and kicks, sending bodies ragdolling through the air and shattering any object in the way (even sofas shatter into pieces in this game). The whole thing is delightfully buggy, with caretakers weirdly gliding over tables or getting stuck in walls – which all adds to the retro charm and overall silliness of the experience. It all makes for a hilarious beat ‘em up full of brittle-bone breaking fun. Highly recommended.
