Silly Sam is a charming little physics based QWOP-like platforming adventure where you skateboard, slide, hop and fall a lot while wandering through the countryside.
The goal of Silly Sam is to traverse a bizarre countryside filled with chasms, skateboards and punching bags. This wouldn’t be too hard but as in any good QWOP-like carrying out the simplest of tasks in Silly Sam is remarkably challenging.
Best played with a control pad, you can kick your legs with the trigger buttons, hold the bumper buttons to grab on to objects and use the analog sticks to move your arms. Just staying upright is a challenge initially, but as you get to grips with it the controls you can pull off a surprising amount of stunts (though you’ll never be particulalry graceful).
Silly Sam can be completed quite quickly depending on what route you take, but there are some fun little distractions and a particularly challenging route if you go right instead of left towards the end of the game. It’s a very silly and charming little adventure with a wonderful child-like visual style and a very cheerful soundtrack. A short and silly dose of QWOP-like fun that’s guaranteed to make you smile.
