Sinking Iron is a humorous and tense first person horror game where you frantically try to repair your submarine while being attacked by a giant sea monster.
Created by Lixian (creator of Late Night Mop), Sinking Iron is a short and action packed subsea horror game that draws inspiration from IRON LUNG. In the game you are the apprentice who works for an amateur diver, who has picked up some readings that indicate a subsea earthquake. You are the lucky one who gets to go down in a rather leak-prone submarine to check it out!
The core gameplay of Sinking Iron revolves around repairing the submarine as it descends and ascends in the water. You have a hammer for knocking out dents in the hull and a welding torch for repairing holes, and you also have some lights to scare away anything which might be lurking outside. You’ll need to be fast though if you want to survive!
It’s a great little horror game that gets incredibly intense as the leaks start springing up all around you (particularly in Hard Mode). The claustrophobic setting does a lot to elevate the tension too and the voice acting is excellent too and adds a welcome bit of coming relief to the proceedings. Highly recommended.
