Slender: Return to Rosswood Park – Downloadable Game

Slender: Return to Rosswood Park is a terrifying found footage slenderman game that actually does justice to the original Marble Hornets web series.

Slenderman has become a bit of a joke over the years thanks to all the memes, substandard games and the forgettable movie. However, Eric Knudsen’s original premise and character design is genuinely scary, especially when used correctly. Step forward Slender: Return to Rosswood Park – a Slenderman horror game that manages to make Slenderman scary again.

In Slender: Return to Rosswood Park you are exploring Rosswood Park – a national park that was shut down a decade ago after some other incidents you may have heard about. It doesn’t take long until you discover one of those creepy pages. You may as well collect all eight now. Just be sure not to look if you see a tall stranger lurking in the woods!

It takes around 30 minutes to play through Slender: Return to Rosswood Park, but there’s also a secret ending and an ARG to poke around in too. It’s a very well executed horror game with a nice selection of landmarks to visit, excellent audio design and a VHS filter that’s done properly. All of which makes for a very tense and atmospheric experience that makes you remember what made Slenderman so scary in the first place. Highly recommended.

Controls: WASD – Movement, Mouse – Look, LMB – Interact, Q/E – Zoom, Shift – Run
