SNARL is a fantastic cosmic horror point and click adventure where the occupants of a Massachusetts roadside diner are terrorized by a being with glass teeth.
A prequel to Abscission and Teeth of Glass (though also a standalone adventure), SNARL follows Detective Will Stanhope and his partner as they try to protect the occupants of a diner from a mysterious “man” with shimmering glass teeth. The glass-toothed being wants you to give him a young kid who’s hiding inside. Being an officer of the law, you’re hesitant to comply, so you’ll need to find another solution…
Taking around an hour to play through, it’s a very well crafted cosmic horror adventure with excellent pixel artwork, a great score and a dark and twisted story. It does a great job of fleshing out the Abscission-verse, but doesn’t require you to have played any of the other games beforehand. There are some wonderfully grotesque moments and the writing is superb. It’s fun getting to know all the characters – especially the mysterious otherworldly entities. Highly recommended.
