So long as there is Mercy is a beautiful and creepy point and click adventure where you befriend ghost children as you search for your brother in a spooky dollhouse.
In So long as there is Mercy you follow the story of Spe, a young girl who is searching for her brother inside a mysterious dollhouse. It’s a point and click adventure with a Little Nightmares-esque visual style, and takes place across four different rooms within the dollhouse.
In each of the rooms you meet a different ghost child who is also trapped in the dollhouse. They all have their own story of how they ended up there, and each one has a special ability, such as burning things, filling things with water or growing vines. You need to use their abilities as you attempt to solve the various puzzles, make your way through the house and save your brother.
The ending feels a little abrupt, but other than that So long as there is Mercy is a fantastic little puzzle adventure. The visuals are beautiful, the environmental puzzles are inventire and each of the ghost-kids abilities are cleverly utilised. Also, there’s quite a dark story to be discovered if you right click on the kids when they’re in your inventory. Highly recommended.
