SOMETHING is a funny and surprisingly tense retro styled reverse horror game where you take control of a monster that’s trying to escape from an SCP style containment facility.
Created by AploveStudio (creator of Roseblight and Clockwatch) in SOMETHING you are a hazardous supernatural phenomenon that’s locked up in an Arizona Anomaly Containment Fountation facility. You’re extremely deadly and start the game locked up in your cell, but following a quick power-outage you soon break out and start running amok.
To escape you’ll need to knock out the three generators that are powering the doors to the exit of the facility. The humans you meet are fairly easy prey and even the armed ones can be eliminated quite easily. Your main problem is the other monsters in the facility – some are friendly, but three in particular very much are not and will kill you if they catch you. You need to avoid them at all costs as you make your escape.
SOMETHING’s retro styled visuals may look cute, but it can be a surprisingly tense experience when you come face to face with another anomaly. It’s also got a great sense of humor and (as with any good reverse horror game) there’s a real sense of satisfaction from leaving a trail of dead bodies in your wake!
