Space to Interrogate is a PS1 styled murder mystery game which sees you gathering photographs of evidence and using them to interrogate the three possible suspects being held for the murder of a businessman.
A spiritual successor to the excellent Space to Investigate, in Space to Interrogate, you take on the role of a detective as they investigate the murder of a rich and powerful businessman. There are three suspects (the maid, the wife and the butler) being held in the interrogation rooms at the police station and you can question them freely about each other and the evidence you find at the crime scene.
The way you gather evidence and interrogate suspects is similar to Space to Investigate, with you taking photos of things and people of interest then showing those pictures to the suspects to see what they have to say about them. You’d better be sure before you charge someone with the crime as you only get one shot at it. They all have possible motives, but who did it? You’ll have to build your case and then make your decision of who to charge as you reach one of the game’s six possible endings.
It’s an excellent little detective game with a great retro noir visual style and cleverly implemented investigation mechanics. Well worth checking out for a bit of spacebar sleuthing fun.
