Squid Game: Game Boy Demake is a fantastic Game Boy adaptation of the first season of Squid Game, from Red Light, Green Light to the final duel.
Created by the awesome people at 64 Bits Animation, Squid Game: The Game Boy Demake manages to compress the entire first season of Squid Game into a 20 minute Game Boy ROM. It features most of the main story beats and all of the games – Red Light, Green Light, Dalgona, Lights Out, Tug Of War, Marbles, Glass Stepping Stones and Squid Game. It also has three different endings, including one Hard Mode ending which only gives you one life to make it through the whole game.
It’s a beautifully made fan game with excellent pixel art animation, a nice variety of gameplay mechanics and great chip-tune recreations of the Squid Game music. To top it all off, it also comes with a pdf of a fully illustrated game manual, complete with cheats and tips. Highly recommended.
