Step Into The Dark is a short and intense psychological horror game where you are totally blind and have to navigate by noise.
Created by Patosalvaje and SirTartarus (creator of A Craft of Mine), in Step Into The Dark you awaken in a mysterious facility with no sight and no memory. As you explore, some of your memories may come back to you, but your sight won’t. So you need to use a rudimentary form of echolocation to navigate. This includes whistling and using a radio to ping distant objectives. However, you’re not alone in there…
As it was created in a rush for a game jam, Step Into The Dark does have quite a few grammatical errors and some other minor rough edges, but it’s a very tense experience and the actual story is interesting. The echolocation works well and you’re always worried about what could be lurking in the darkness. But you’re not afraid of the dark, are you?
