Stretchmancer is a funny, creative and nausea-inducing first person puzzle platformer where you can stretch the world around you to escape a space prison.
Created for Ludum Dare 54, Stretchmancer is a lightheaded puzzle platformer where you’re a space lizard secret agent who can stretch the world to his will. You start the game in a small prison cell with no obvious way of escape, but what if you could stretch the world sideways so that the bars were further apart? What if you could stretch the world upwards so that you could squeeze through a hole?
It’s a very clever concept and the stretching mechanics are very intuitive. The way the world stretches can be a little nausea-inducing but it’s a very cool effect and it’s used in some very inventive ways as you make you escape. Plus the story is very entertaining and silly. Highly recommended.
