Super Mario Flashback: Really Good Edition is a delightfully bad (but also quite good) fan game parody of the excellent Super Mario Flashback fan game.
If you’ve never played Mors’ Super Mario Flashback go and play it now, it’s WAY better than this version and is actually better than the majority of Nintendo’s recent 2D Mario games. Super Mario Flashback: Really Good Edition is a deliberately crappy looking, memey version of Flashback, that was created as a joke. It is indeed quite funny, but more surprising is the fact that the gameplay is actually quite fun!
Super Mario Flashback: Really Good Edition features two levels, closely based on Super Mario Flashback’s levels and a boss fight. Mario has all the moves from Flashback, including the wall-jump and the ground pound and you can even shoot fireballs one you pick up the power flower. The memey jokes are a little hit and miss, but there’s a surprisingly good platformer hidden below its shabby exterior.
