T.W. Burgess Presents: PYLONS – Download Game

T.W. Burgess Presents: PYLONS is a darkly humorous and surprisingly scary MS-DOS styled pylon safety PSA horror game where you learn how to avoid an accidental death by electricity pylons.

Drawing inspiration from some of the ridiculously over the top pylon safety PSA’s from the 70s (see exhibit A and exhibit B) T.W. Burgess Presents: PYLONS is a retro styled horror game that really teaches you to respect the power of electricity pylons. In the game you follow the story of a young boy who is having some pylons erected near his home. Each day he goes out for a wander around, chats to people and learns a little about the dangers of pylons. But then he learns a little too much…

Pylons may seem like an unlikely antagonist in a horror game, but they are surprisingly intimidating in T.W. Burgess Presents: PYLONS. Even before things start getting weird the hum of the electricity, the sheer size of them and the constant reminders that they’re dangerous instils you with the same kind of fear those classic 70’s PSAs did. Then when things get weird the pylons really put the fear of god in you. By the end you’ll never want to go near a pylon again (which probably makes the game a real success as a PSA!)
