TankWars.io is a browser based tank combat game in which you collect power-ups and do battle across multiple game modes in addictive massively multiplayer tank warfare.
TankWars.io offers the easilly accessible jump-in-jump-out gameplay popularised by the .io games, but also adds a welcome bit of skill based tank combat and team strategy. In the game you drive around the maps blowing up enemies and picking up power-ups. These power-ups are single use and don’t offer any form of permanent upgrades, so players are all on a level playing field, but you can pick up multiple power-ups at a time and they do really come in handy when you’re in a tight spot.
There are currently two game modes available in TankWars.io (although the dev is adding more); King Deathmatch and Conquest. King Deathmatch is a free-for-all deathmatch mode in which whoever is at the top of the leaderboard is named crowned king, and Conquest sees teams battling against each other for control of strategic locations on the map. Team Deathmatch is fun, though can be a little hard to stay alive for more than a minute, while Conquest adds a welcome bit of team strategy to the proceedings as you roll out with your team mates and attempt to ambush the opposition.
The developer is continuing to work on TankWars.io, with lots more planned features, but it’s already a very polished and very addictive multiplayer tank warfare experience. Well worth checking out for some massively multiplayer tank blasting fun!
