In Tender you wake up and start to cook yourself a meal in a large cauldron boiling over an open fire. Your home is pretty cozy and is situated in a quiet rural area, but there was something in the news about a couple going missing nearby a while ago. Best not to think about it and grab the ingredients you need to make your meal…
Taking around 10 minutes to play through, Tender is a delightfully dark little game with a couple of good (if fairly cheap) jumpscares and a wonderfully twisted narrative. The text that pops up at the start of the game does make it a little too obvious what’s going on before the big reveal, but it’s a tasty little slice of psychological horror anyway.
