The 52 Fragments is a strange collection of (often creepy) esoteric experimental games where a new game is added to the library each week for a year.
In The 52 Fragments you will be able to play through 52 unique little games that examine themes of identity, agency and perception. Each of the games are called Fragments and one is added each week for a year (at time of writing it’s currently on its 21st fragment). The games are all very different, but they often involve a little puzzle solving and often delve into the darker recesses of human psychology.
As with any collection of games, some are better than others, but it’s a very interesting project that’s full of interesting gameplay ideas. And while each Fragment explores different ideas and gameplay concepts, they all feel like part of a cohesive whole. An intriguing experimental experience where you feel like you’re part of an experiment.
