The Anglerfish Project is a beautiful and narrative-driven chilled-out Sci-Fi adventure where an old man fishes for data packages in a cosmic abyss.
Created by Selkie Harbour (creators of Everything You Didn’t Get to Do), The Anglerfish Project is a tranquil Sci-Fi adventure about an old man in a lonely abyss in space. You have a job to do for an organisation called The Foundation – you use a fishing rod to cast a probe (called Paul) into space anomalies and harvest secret data packages from them. The Foundation prohibits you from fishing in certain anomalies, but if you do, the data you recover may give you a lot to think about. You can even take a little time out to discuss it with Paul!
It’s a wonderful little game with simple, but engaging fishing mechanics, excellent world building and a very chilled out atmosphere. The way the story reveals itself one data package at a time is cleverly done and you even become attached to your little probe buddy. Highly recommended.
