The Ark of Horizon (大逃杀) is battle royale game that sees you battling for higher ground in Iron Man-esque rocket suits as the world is slowly flooded.
Unlike most battle royale games, in The Ark of Horizon you fight against other players and AI controlled bots. You start each match aboard a flying battleship and can jetpack off to anywhere in the map where you can loot houses for useful weapons and equipment, then start to dispatch your enemies as the map floods and the play area constricts.
It’s unlikely to challenge Fortnite or Apex Legends, but The Ark of Horizon is very easy to pick up and play and it’s great fun flying around in the rocket suits. The addition of AI controlled bots is a nice touch as they’re pretty easy to dispatch, so they make even the worst of players feel like they’re achieving something. Well worth checking out for a little rocket powered battle royale action.
