The Black Rose is a P.T. inspired first person psychological horror game where you meet a woman that you’re infatuated by at a mysterious bar.
Created by students at Futuregames, The Black Rose starts with you entering a bar to meet a woman you can’t stop thinking about. There’s something about her that feels very familiar, like you’ve talked a thousand times before, but there’s a veil of mystery around her and everything about her makes your heart race. You can’t resist the temptation and you must see her again. However, when you enter the bar there’s noone to be found (aside from a drunk passed out at the bar) and when you try to leave things start to get weird…
The Black Rose is very much derivative of P.T., but it’s very well executed, with high quality visuals, excellent sound design and an interesting narrative that you piece together as you play. It’s got a very tense atmosphere and it makes great use of environmental storytelling to let you know why you’re there. Maybe true love isn’t eternal, but your stay in The Black Rose bar may well be!
