The Food of the Gods is a B-movie styled Sci-Fi horror game based on the H.G. Wells novel of the same name, which sees you dealing with a contamination that’s created killer chickens, giant wasps and mega-rats!
Drawing inspiration from H.G. Wells’ The Food of the Gods and borrowing a little from Romero’s The Crazies, The Food of the Gods puts you in the shoes of a government operative who has been sent to assess the situation after a tornado caused an industrial chemical spill. The spill has affected the local wildlife and much like in the original story, it’s caused it to grow and become more aggressive – which means you’ll be dealing with some horrifyingly large killer chickens, wasps and rats!
There are some frustrations with The Food of the Gods, largely down to the lack of checkpoints and the insta-deaths, but if you manage to persevere with the game then there’s a lot to like. It’s a very cinematic experience, with some spectacular set-pieces and an excellent audio score that nails the Sci-Fi horror B-movie vibe. Giant chickens, wasps and rats are surprisingly terrifying – you won’t look at a Chicken McNugget the same way again!
Note: here is a little male and female nudity in this game, so be aware if body parts make you more squeamish than giant man-eating rats!
Controls: WASD – Movement, Mouse – Look, E – Interaction, RMB- Aim, LMB – Shoot, Q – Holster/Unholster Weapon

Pretty disappointing game honestly. I wanted to like it but the pointless nude models makes it not very stream friendly and gives the impression the game was made by a horny 11 year old. If the game had a lot of polish done and some artistic changes it could be decent.
