The Good Time Garden is a surreal, beautifully animated and oddly sensual little puzzle adventure where you gather food for a friend in a throbbing pink forest full of weird naked creatures.
Created by the talented James Carbutt and Will Todd, The Good Time Garden is a charming hand drawn adventure set in a forest that seems like it was created by Mother Nature when she was in a particularly horny mood. Nearly everywhere you look there’s some sort of phallic or yonic imagery and the creatures often make suggestive moans and remarks. It’s not an “adult” game and there’s no overt sexual content, but you get the feeling that the entire forrest would erupt into a massive orgasm if you rubbed it the wrong (or right) way.
In The Good Time Garden you control a cute little creature who explores the big pink horny garden and has the ability to perform three different actions – slap, expel water and pick up. You need to use these three abilities to interact with the game world and find food for your friend. The puzzles aren’t too tricky, but they are a lot of fun to figure out, especially thanks to the excellent animation and the many weird unexpected interactions you have with the forrest’s inhabitants.
Taking around 15 minutes to play through, it’s a fantastic little adventure full of high quality hand drawn animation and lots of weird and wonderful surprises. A beautiful and bizarre adventure in a very horny forrest. Highly recommended.
