The Herbalist is a chilled out little exploration adventure that sees you searching a beautifully animated black and white landscape for a special herb.
The gameplay is fairly simple in The Herbalist – you just search the environment and follow clues that guide you towards the special herb which you are seeking. You don’t speak the language of the locals, but you can figure things out. There are also lots of flowers and herbs that are scattered around the world, you can examine them to see if they match the one you’re looking for, but you’ll know when you’re getting close to the one you’re looking for anyway.
It’s a beautiful little experience that feels like a mini black and white Journey. The landscape of The Herbalist initially looks pretty barren, but there’s lots to discover in this mysterious black and white world. Highly recommended.
