The Hole in the Sea is a stylish, atmospheric and mysterious little experience where you are a mad man who attempts to unleash the apocalypse.
Taking around 10 minutes to play through, The Hole in the Sea is a largely wordless experience that puts you in the role of a mad man who wants to end the world. To do this you must travel to the heart of an old abandoned village and remove a seal which is keeping an unearthly power trapped within a church. After which you’ll have to solve some simple light-based puzzles to escape.
The narrative and puzzles in The Hole in the Sea are fairly minimal, but it’s the visual design and atmosphere that really gets you. The visuals (particularly after you’ve removed the seal) are stunning and you get the feeling that you’ve unleashed something truly apocalyptic on the world which will be impossible to undo.
