The Juice of God’s Future is a wonderfully macabre little game in which you decide whether or not to turn citizens into juice as you attempt to build the perfect society.
In the dystopian world of The Juice of God’s Future there is a massive overpopulation problem. As such, you can only afford to keep citizens who make a worthwhile contribution to society, the rest of them get processed into a nutritious juice in the factory you are working in. Your job in the factory is to decide which citizens get juiced and which ones are allowed to live.
Each citizen is presented to you holding a little placard which has some information about them, such as “I have a job and am resourceful” or “I’m working on getting fame”. You then press either the “Juice” button or the “Free” button depending on how benevolent you’re feeling. Intermittently you’ll then be given reports on how your actions have affected the creativity, intelligence and happiness of your society.
It’s a fun little game, with a great visual style and a delightfully grim concept as you play god and shape an entire civilization with your murders. You really don’t want to be drinking that juice though!
