The Last Firewatch is a beautiful and touching little exploration adventure where one of the last firewatch bots on Earth goes in search of its friends.
Drawing inspiration from Firewatch and Soma, in The Last Firewatch you take control of a little firewatch bot who is returning to its post when it realises it hasn’t heard from its friend in a while. You decide to go and find your friends and see how they’re doing. They each live quite far away in their own firewatch towers, but you’re pretty fast and you can jump pretty high too.
It’s got a great visual style and although the narrative in The Last Firewatch is pretty minimal, it’s well executed and is very touching. Your little bot’s had a lonely existence but oddly fulfilling life in the beautiful wide open expanses of a land ruined and forgotten by humans.
