The New Flesh is an incredible audio/visual ambient exploration experience set in a surreal dream-like world packed full of secrets and great tunes.
A collaboration between Fresh Baked Games and Red Vox (Vinesauce’s band), The New Flesh is essentially a giant interactive music video. The main gameplay takes place in a city and sees you collecting VHS tapes and Pigeons, but it’s really all just an excuse to explore, have fun, listen to great music and discover weird secrets.
The New Flesh features three songs from Red Vox’s upcoming album, as well as eight other songs from previous albums. Most of the songs get their own uniquely themed area, which can take you to some pretty unexpected places, and the city dramatically changes as the game progresses too.
It’s a fantastic experience which essentially feels like you’re playing a music album in video game form. There are some excellent songs and the quality of the environmental design is amazing (especially some of the stuff it does in the finale). Long Live The New Flesh.
