The New Horizons is a freaky little fan made Animal Crossing horror game where a materialistic girl gets a little more than she bargains for while trying to pay off her debt to Tom Nook.
In The New Horizons you follow the story of Abby, a young woman who was given a portable gaming system and a game instead of the iPhone she wanted by her boyfriend. She promptly dumped the boyfriend, but now the game has permeated her life. She awakens on an Island that’s home to a couple of friendly villagers, Tom Nook and his mysterious friend. It’s a pleasant enough place, but you owe Tom Nook $1,000,000,000 bells and he needs you to do him a favor to pay him back…
Taking around 10 minutes to play through, The New Horizons is a fun little game with some delightfully dark twists. It’s nice to see a game that finally shows what a bas***d Tom Nook is and his familiar looking friend is a great little touch.
