The Other Side is a tense little first person horror puzzle game where you attempt to drill to freedom through a reinforced metal wall.
In The Other Side you find yourself a fallout shelter which survivors have been sheltering inside for years. Nobody ever tries to go out and they’ve almost forgotten that outside even exists. You’ve had enough of it though so you’ve decided to try and escape. However, there’s a heavy duty steel reinforced wall in your way…
To make your escape you must maintain and operate a drill as it drills through both layers of the wall. This can require replacing drill-bits, topping up coolant and oil levels, and recharging the battery. However, there are no instructions on how to do all this so you need to figure out how to do it yourself.
It’s a great game with a similar gameplay style as another one of Mike Klubnika’s games, For The Entity. There’s a real satisfaction to be had from figuring out how everything works and the game really builds up the tension towards the end.
