The Paperman is a freaky first person horror game that starts off spooky and descends into surreal psychological terror as you uncover the truth of “The Paperman”.
Playable in VR or on standard screens, The Paperman is a well crafted 20 minute horror game set in a 1079 suburban USA neighborhood that’s rumored to be home to a man made entirely from paper. You take on the role of a 10 year old girl who has to finish a homework assignment, which involves you finding and using a video camera to record various objects around the neighborhood. However, it’s not long until you find yourself lost in the woods and you discover the truth about the rumors of The Paperman.
It’s a great little horror game with high quality visuals and some excellent audio design. The first half of The Paperman lulls you into a false sense of security, with a pleasantly spooky atmosphere and great sound design, but the second half really turns up the terror as you witness the madness of The Paperman unfolding. Way scarier than Paperboy.
